At Berkshire Bees, we provide a friendly and knowledgeable approach to beekeeping, so whether you’re a seasoned hand or a relative ‘newbee’, our bees and services are perfect for you!


Our beekeeping journey started when seeing a friend’s beautiful rooftop apiary 16 years ago and we decided to give it a go! One hive turned to two, then gradually over the years our hobby became a honey bee business. The years of experience and trials has given us the knowledge to produce good quality bee colonies and rear resilient productive mated queens.

    Really friendly and informative for someone like me who is a new bee keeper. The bees themselves are very calm, settled in really quickly. The nucleus had lots of bees, lava and eggs so all looking really good, healthy marked queen who seems to be very productive.

    Brilliant reintroduction to beekeeping! I got my nucleus in late April and housed them into the hive and filled it with undrawn frames, loads of calm bees. Since then they’ve just gone from strength to strength and in total they have drawn out another full brood box, drawn out six supers and filled the lot with honey. No signs of swarming and no stings, lovely bees to work with and a bumper honey harvest. Would highly recommend Berkshire Bees.

    Ordered an overwintered nuc from BB and was disappointed that there were none left but I was put onto cancellation list and now happy to say I was contacted later in the year and have a nuc of bees. This year for my I have placed my order early as the overwintered nucs seem to run out quickly. They explained everything to me about settling in the bees and what I needed to do. Very helpful guy and on the end of the phone if needed at any help! Glad to say my bees are loving their new home in the Chilterns. I would recommend these guys if you are looking to buy bees.

Had a bit of problem with their emails going to spam, so check your spam folders. But all good at the end. I will use these beekeepers again.
